Winter Grit at The Ascent.
We joined Social Climbing Solihull for The Ascent, their bi-monthly climbing competition bringing together climbers of all abilities for an evening of comp-style problems, music and prizes.
With climbs ranging from V0–V10, Female and Open categories and a live DJ, The Ascent is designed to be competitive without taking itself too seriously.
This event also marked the first outing of Pull Up For Your Prize.
Simple idea: jump on the bar, earn your prize.
We brought the challenge to the gym for the first time alongside our Winter Grit pop-up, giving climbers another way to test themselves between attempts on the wall. It went down well enough that we decided to keep it going.
